You know that song “Love Is In The Air” by John Paul Young? That’s the song that’s been playing on repeat in my head, because from the moment Hubby and I arrived, romance was well and truly in the air at the Berry Amour Resort.
Every hotel has its own concept, and it works to incorporate that theme throughout the property. The Berry Amour Resort is about all things love and romance. Whether you are on your honeymoon or anniversary or just some much needed R&R with your love, the Berry Amour Resort is sure to add more spark to your romantic vacation.
Now don’t get me wrong – when I say all things love and romance… I don’t mean heart shaped beds with cheesy love themed decoration. In fact, Berry Amour has so tastefully incorporated the romance theme, that in 2014 the resort won “Top Luxury Romantic Hotel” by the World Luxury Hotel Awards.
This is another beautifully designed resort that has been inspired by the team at Avilla Hospitality. They are a fantastic local Balinese company, which focuses on creating unique hotel concepts, and providing excellent Balinese hospitality to all of its guests. This is the second Avilla resort I have stayed at, and it truly amazed me.
Here’s a lovely preview into the very romantic Berry Amour Resort:

Checking Into the Berry Amour Resort
Upon arriving to the resort, we were greeted straight away and brought to the reception to check in. The check in process was extremely smooth and efficient…and well romantic of course.
How could a check in process possibly be romantic you might be wondering?
Our welcome drinks were not your typical mixed juice, but rather a delicious Strawberry Frozen Mocktail. It came served with a delicious strawberry tart. And the cherry on top? A crowning ceremony.

The lady who welcomed us at the reception asked Hubby to crown me with a lovely handmade flower crown. It was actually a really lovely surprise and I have to say, the flower crown made for some pretty photos.
It was a lovely welcoming experience, which is different from any check in experience I have ever had in the past.

The Accommodation
The resort has 20 private pool villas, each offering a lot of privacy, space, luxury, and well romance.
There are 3 different villa themes – Desire, Mystic, and Temptation. While the villa layout in general is relatively similar, it is the overall décor of the villa that is different depending on the overall theme. During our stay, we got to experience 2 different themed villas. The first one was Mystic, and the second one was Temptation.

The Mystic Villa is slightly darker in design, with more Balinese features including the stone carved walls and art. Temptation was my favourite theme. The colors were much lighter, which I felt made the villa welcome more natural light, and gave it an airier feel.

The bathroom offers a large bathtub (which can be filled up and sprinkled with rose petals), a spacious rain shower, a his and her sink, and a good sized closet. While many hotels are beginning to reduce the amount of vanities on offer, the Berry Amour Resort are still quite generous. There is also a good sized in-room safe, enough to fit a 13-inch laptop.

There is also a small kitchen area, with a sizable fridge, a hot plate, and utensils. There is also a small dining table in the kitchen.
Overall the villas are so well designed, and provides a generous amount of space for all guests. My favorite feature of the villas? The way the villa opens up to the oversized private pool – I could jump into the pool from the living room area. The pool was seriously so generous in size, compared to many other villas I have stayed in.

And you know what’s fun as well? You can order your very own blown up pool floatie to be brought to the villa. One day we had a Pegusus floatie, and the next time we got a Swan floatie. Not only were they so relaxing to just chill on while floating on the pool, the floaties made for some fun photo sessions.

Facilities & Food
It is important to note that the resort does not have a common pool or restaurant. I did not mind this at all, especially because the private pool in the resort is so generous in size. All meals can either be taken in the villa or in the bar area. I preferred taking the meals in the villa, because I could easily jump into the pool between bites (lol)!
Breakfast
100% I recommend the floating breakfast. While a cool gimmick, and of course makes for some excellent social media photos, the floating breakfast is a fun way to spend the morning.

The floating tray is really sturdy and a great size to fit all the different breakfast elements. It is also easy to sit in the pool and eat your breakfast for 2. I also felt that the breakfast selection was incredibly generous. There is a fantastic variety in the menu, which meant there was something for everyone each day.

You can pretty much choose how you want to take your breakfast. You can have it floating in the pool, or you can have it set up on the dining table, or in bed, or you can even take it on the sun bed in the bar area of the resort. All you have to do is let your Butler know what you’ll like, and he will organise it according to your wishes. Talk about personalised service!
Afternoon Tea
Every afternoon, afternoon tea is available for all in-house guests between 4-6pm. You just have to let the reception know what time you wish to take your afternoon tea, and the team will bring it straight to your villa according to your specified time.

The afternoon tea came with a range of pastries, and cakes. From a lovely red velvet cake with white chocolate layers, to lovely Balinese style dessert, it is a sweet surprise to enjoy afternoon tea in the villa.
The Spa
Upon checking in, we were given vouchers for a complimentary 15 minutes’ couples massage. This was a welcoming surprise, and a great way to start our staycation at the Berry Amour Resort.

We also enjoyed a 1-hour full body massage, which was lovely. The treatment first began with a foot bath and warm tea. Once completed, we enjoyed our 1-hour full body massage. Both the masseuses were great. I felt my pressure was just right and there was a good consistency to the massage, which meant that the staff were properly trained.

I felt the spa was affordable, with a 1-hour full body massage costing around Rp350,000 per person.
The Location
Berry Amour is located along Jalan Batu Beling in Seminyak. It is just a short drive to the beach, the various beach clubs, and shopping areas. The hotel provides a free shuttle into Seminyak, you just need to speak to your Butler to book in a time.
The Verdict
I did not want to leave the Berry Amour Resort. Maximum privacy, romance, and space, the Berry Amour Resort is sure to be just what you need on your romantic getaway.
The staff were also fantastic – every time we walked by any staff member, we were greeted with a friendly smile, and also usually addressed by our names. Everyone was extremely friendly, and we really felt at home during our stay here.

From personalised breakfast experiences, to floatie requests, to spa treatments in your villa or the spa room, to cute love notes… the Berry Amour go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and romantic stay.
Villas start at A$285 (U$214) per night, which includes breakfast, a Butler, and your very own generously sized pool. Rates may fluctuate depending on season and availability. You can find out more about the Berry Amour here. Avilla Hospitality also manage a range of other fantastic properties all around Bali.

Hubby and I truly loved our stay at this resort, and it has easily become one of our favorite resorts. So if you are looking for a romantic getaway with your loved one, Berry Amour Resort is really the perfect spot for you.

Wow, this resort is amazing! I have never heard of a floating breakfast and I would love to try it. The welcome strawberry drinks look delicious, a little bit of rum in there and they would be perfect! The idea of the swimming pool attached to the villa is great. It seems very good value for money, I just need to find someone to take!
Quintessential Bali! There’s something really enticing about having your own plunge pool in a lush and lovely resort. Looks fabulous.
This looks like a wonderful place! I have lived for seven months on Bali, but never heard about this Berry Amour Resort in Seminyak. Would love to check it out when I return to Bali. The accommodation looks very nice and so does the welcome drinks and pool. I love it that you can order your own blown up pool floatie to be brought to the villa!
This looks very nice! Especially the floating breakfast! My husband and I just booked our own “second honeymoon” in Bali (we’re really just looking for excuses to splurge on gorgeous trips! HA!). We’re staying in Ubud at a private villa and so excited! Thanks for sharing a nice review and a potential nest-stay in Bali! Cheers!
Oh my goodness, this is such an amazing experience, and one I would love to experience with my hubs as well. The breakfast in the pool is something I have never seen before! It’s so cool to not experience atleast once!
Beautiful property and quite a detailed review. It’s wonderful to read your post because the love between you and your husband shines through it. Being a Dad and more of a family traveler, i’ve never been one for “adults only”resorts because I think i’ve had more issues with drunk adults than noisy children, but I can understand that sometimes it’s just easy and more quiet with kids not around. The idea of private pools and Balinese hospitality adds to that no doubt. The best couples massage I ever had was in Bali while on my honeymoon so yeah I can understand the charm of such a property. Cheers
Beautiful! exactly the kind of accommodation I would prefer in such a location.
I have stayed in a couple of amazing resorts in Thailand and I heard there are in many Asian places amazing resorts all over to be found, so this one is obviously also such a jewel.
Especially for a romantic couple holidays this seems to be a perfect place.
Wow, this is my kind of place. I’d love to stay here although I’d have to wait for my kids to get bigger – or leave them behind. Also, I’ve never heard of a floating breakfast before – what a cool idea!
“Love is in the Air” always makes me think of the movie “Strictly Ballroom”. This looks like a great place for couples to stay. I always travel alone, so it would be a little weird for me there. But I would never say no to that floating breakfast! I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves!
Such a beautiful and romantic setup that this resort has. I immediately fell in love with it. i will make sure to check it’s availability when I visit Bali
What an absolutely lovely place. So romantic and with cute little quirky things like the floating breakfast. I also love the bathroom. Wow!
I am currently in the Philippines and will be heading over to Bali next. Thanks for sharing this with me.
This resort looks amaaaazing! And oh my gosh, that floating brekky looks divine. Will definitely check it out when we’re in Bali next!
What a beautiful resort! Sign me up please! I am totally dying over the gorgeous decor. And the meal on the pool? I could wake up to that every single day!!
The Berry Amour Resort looks amazing! I want to drink one of those frozen strawberry mocktails and jump in the personal pool right now. The massage sounds wonderful, too. It would be hard to leave and do any exploring when you are staying at a place like this.
OMG! private pool, a unicorn float and a floating breakfast. I’m loving this place. You had me at unicorn float frankly.
I saw all your photos on Instagram about this amazing place and I couldn’t get enough. I love how the rooms open up into their own pools. I especially loved how the hot tub was filled with rose petals. Now that is my idea of romantic! I envy your breakfast in the pool and I would love to stay there if I ever go back to Bali!
