Nadodi evokes surprise…discovery…creativity…a fresh perspective on modern gastronomy.

The Nadodi cuisine is a fusion of flavors influences by 3 main regions – Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Sri Lanka. But Nadodi is not your ordinary Indian or Sri Lankan style restaurant. Nadodi takes Indian and Sri Lankan flavors to a whole new level.

Combining gastronomical experimentation with a flare for thinking outside the box, dare I say that Nadodi has been one of the most interesting dining experiences that I have had.

I absolutely love degustation menus, because they tell a story. And wow does Nadodi ever tell a story. From start to finish, every dish and every paired drink took us on an exploratory and sensorial journey from Tamil Nadu to Kerala and crossing borders into Sri Lanka.

The Dining Experience at Nadodi

We arrived to Nadodi – conveniently situated in down town Kuala Lumpur, just a stone’s throw away from KLCC. The entry is a bit sheltered, but not in a speakeasy kind of way. Just plug “Nadodi” into your GPS and it should take you to the right spot.

Upon arriving, we take the elevator to the first floor which is where Nadodi is. We were instantly greeted by the team and taken to our table to begin this very engaging dining experience.

There are 3 menus to choose from – an 11 course menu, a 13 course menu and an epic 15 course menu. As a table everyone has to decide on the same menu and so we decided on the 13 course menu – named the “13-mile journey”. The 13 course and 15 course menu had the option of selecting either a wine pairing or cocktail pairing. I opted for the cocktail pairing, because after all, I wanted to see just how creative these guys can get. Wow, it was next level.

This is literally how creative the Nadodi team is – this is one of the cocktails…and it was delicious. Tasted like a margarita.

Dining at Nadodi has been an experience that I still struggle to describe because it was so interesting. Every course, I couldn’t wait to see what would come out – to see how it would be plated, to see what it would taste like, and what it could even possibly be.

The menu was vague, but enough to tickle those taste buds. Only key words made up the description so that right side of the brain was working hard to creatively think up what each menu item could possibly be. But no matter what we could have ever guess the next dish to be, the Nadodi team managed to continually surprise us every step of the way.

While I can go through in detail describing each meal – to be honest I won’t be doing this meal any justice. So instead, I will share highlights of our journey at Nadodi. Oh and don’t worry about the small portion sizes – trust me by the end of the journey, you will be full.
